After　nearly　three　hours；　the　judge　was　totally　out　of　patience　and　sent　the　bailiff　into　the　jury…room　to　see　what　was　holding　up　the　verdict。　When　the　bailiff　returned；　the　judge　said；　“Well　have　they　got　a　verdict　yet？”

The　bailiff　shook　his　head　and　said；　“Verdict？　Hell；　they’re　still　doing　nominating　speeches　for　the　foreman’s　position！”

天堂裡的教皇

教皇去世後，就來到了天堂。聖彼得問候他：“見到你很高興，一切都已經安排就緒。”隨後，聖彼得帶著他走到街上，看了看教皇的新房子。那是一棟小巧而舒適的別墅，一共有五個房間。聖彼得建議教皇先安頓下來，然後再四處去拜訪其他的居民。

在這裡，教皇不僅與許多老朋友重逢了，而且還認識了不少新朋友。其中有一位已故的律師，邀請教皇到家裡吃午飯。到律師家後，教皇頓時驚呆了！那是一棟有45個房間的大廈，有桑拿間、健身房、漂亮的圖書館以及寬敞明亮的房間。

午飯後，教皇碰巧在街上又看到了聖彼得，便上前問道：“我可不是發牢騷啊！為什麼我只能得到一個小別墅，而那個律師卻有那麼豪華的大廈？”

聖彼得回答說：“你看，我們這裡到處都是教皇，可律師卻只有他一個。”

Pope　in　Heaven

The　Pope　dies　and　goes　to　heaven。　St。　Peter　greets　him　and　says。　“Glad　to　see　you；　we’ve　got　your　place　all　ready。”　Peter　then　takes　the　Pope　down　the　street　and　shows　him　his　new　home：　a　small　but　fortable　cottage　of　5　rooms。　Peter　advises　the　Pope　to　settle　in；　and　then　wander　around　meeting　the　other　residents。
