那個開那輛最大的卡車的司機，費了九牛二虎之力才將車偽裝起來。只是塗畫這輛卡車，他就花了好幾個小時，隨後又找來一張網罩住汽車，並用一些大石塊把網固定好。萬事俱備後，他驕傲地欣賞完自己的作品就去吃午飯了。

然而吃完飯回來卻發現卡車的影子讓偽裝好的車子暴露無遺，他感到吃驚而又焦慮。隨著太陽的西落，影子變得越來越長。他一動不動地看著影子，頭腦裡一片空白。 這時，一位軍官走了過來，　毫無疑問，他也看見了影子。

“喂，”他對那位可憐的司機喊道，“你打算怎麼辦？　如果敵機飛過，飛行員一眼就能看出這是一輛卡車。”

“我明白，長官。”士兵答道。

“嘿！不要只是站在那裡發呆！”

“我該怎麼辦呢？長官？”　可憐的司機問。
